
Developing university requirements courses.
As the university’s internal regulations regarding the application of the university’s requirements in the academic programs of the colleges, which were stipulated in the university’s bylaw (Article 8), were reviewed, a proposal was developed by the Central Unit for Curriculum Development and Learning Methods to develop the university’s requirements courses, taking into account the importance of these requirements. To provide graduates of all faculties with basic skills and values that are necessary for Ain Shams University graduates, and this was done by following the following procedures.
- An analysis of the current status of the application of the university's requirements courses within the faculties This was done through the application of a questionnaire to the vice-deputies for education and students’ affairs, in order to determine the university’s requirements courses that are taught in their faculties, and the appropriateness of that as stipulated in the university’s bylaw, as well as determining the nature of the content, teaching methods and assessment methods used in these courses. And the most important problems faced by colleges in implementing university requirements The Central Curriculum Development Unit is preparing a proposed vision for the development of Article 8 of the university’s internal regulations, which is responsible for developing the university’s requirements system.
- Determining the university requirements courses that achieve the future competencies of the graduate of Ain Shams University and preparing a unified electronic content for it. The development of a set of basic tracks that represent global trends that are required to be available in the graduate, and these tracks are (the track of technological skills and digital transformation, the track of cultural and community identity, the track of cultural and community identity, the track of Personal and life skills, professional performance development track) where a set of courses are placed under each track according to its nature, so that these courses achieve skills and values that are required for a graduate of Ain Shams University in the era of digital transformation.
